Women Empowerment has become a popular and widely used concept, which often occurs in many different contexts, both politically, economically and socially.
The TM-GATE Foundation believes the concept in itself is difficult definable and measurable, as it is easily affected by personal perceptions and certainly, perceived differently around the world - depending on context and living conditions. The TM-GATE Foundation consensus on women empowerment, is backed by the fundamental role of education, to enable the realization of women empowerment.
The TM-GATE Foundation´s women empowerment program is: understanding women empowerment by education, a learning process, which encompass various dimensions on:
-
Knowledge and skills — learning about women empowerment rights standards and mechanisms, as well as acquiring the skills to put them into practice in daily life;
-
Values and attitudes — developing values and reinforcing attitudes which uphold women empowerment rights;
-
Behaviour and action — encouraging action to defend and promote women empowerment through measures and values to society.
The women empowerment refers to the process of self-empowerment and also to the professional support of women, thus enabling them to overcome their sense of powerlessness and lack of influence, needs, access, connectivity, power and equipment to enable them to recognize, and use their resources and chances.
Our women empowerment deals with relationships, equality, gender justice and further more ratifies issues between gender, sexuality and social relationships, and in the process, endeavors to clarify and educate the real importance and strengthen its real significance.
The design continues to create a society with optimal efficiency and productivity, where everyone, regardless of gender, contributes their best in an equal and mutual responsibility for each other.
